Since I've taken yoga, I find my life filled with more perspective.  I find myself more willing to 'go with the flow' of the day instead of trying to force issues or situations.  Thank you!

Mini-Retreats

A mini-retreat is a scrumptious get-away that’s close to home and fits easily into your schedule.
Work in the morning and relax in the afternoon. Better yet…take the whole day off of work!

The afternoon was a gift to myself! It is so rare I have time to enjoy simple quiet and contemplation. But Megan’s gentle guidance made a few hours feel like a weekend away. It recharged me and filled my soul. Thank you, Megan!
— Joanne Meehl

Each mini-retreat has a different theme following a similar format that includes:

Lunch at Relish (fantastic food!)
Simple movement
Group gathering
Silent reflections (different options available including massage, labyrinth, walking, journaling and more.)
Yoga
Close

This retreat is perfect for those that practice yoga and those that do not. It’s open to people of all physical abilities. The emphasis is on reflection, not on activity. You do enough. This is a chance to simply be.

There are three packages to choose from depending on your needs:

Option 1:   Standard retreat with no bodywork   $95
Option 2:  Retreat plus mini-bodywork (20 minute session)   $125
Option 3:  Retreat plus full bodywork (60 minute session)   $165

For bodywork, choose from:
Massage
Craniosacral work
Zero balancing
Alexander Technique
Acupuncture

I learned today that my inner beat, my inner music is ME! It is my deepest and truest self. That beat is steady and unfaltering — but also changing and growing.
— Katrina Kazda

I know what you’re thinking. You’re too busy.
But this is the truth: all of your stuff will be waiting for you when you get back!
The big difference is that you’ll be in a better place mentally and physically to handle it.
What’s one afternoon off from your pressing obligations?

Let’s get quiet. Get clear. And get happy.

We all need the time to put the issues of life on the back burner and dig a little deeper for peace. Everyone should give it a try! Thanks for a great day.

Kripalu Trip

There's always more to learn about yoga than I can possibly fit into a 60 or 90-minute class. Immersing you in the depth and breadth of yoga is a gift I'd like to share with you. That is why I'm coordinating a 3-day, 2 night yoga retreat at the world-renowned Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA, the largest retreat center for yoga and holistic living in the U.S.

You can choose from a variety of yoga classes, take part in experiential workshops, unwind in the whirlpool and explore the Berkshire Mountains. A retreat provides:

* A chance to thoroughly unwind from daily stresses
* Complete relaxation through postures and breathing
* A deeper connection to your yoga practice
* Healthy vegetarian meals all prepared for you
* Clear focus and sense of perspective
* Space and time to reflect on life

Yoga, meditation, relaxation and more. Do it all...or do nothing at all.

Where: Kripalu Center (www.kripalu.org)  for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA
When: January 5-7, 2007
Yoga and Hand Drumming
Cost: Rates vary depending on the workshop (click here for the calendar of events) and room you choose (click here for accommodation information) as well as the group size (the larger the group, the lower the rate). See the individual workshops below for links to the pricing (which does not include our group discount). Pricing includes healthy meals, lodging and all scheduled activities at Kripalu.

To register for the group discount retreat: Call Kripalu Reservations at 800-741-7353, supplying reservations with the following information:
Group name: MCDONOUGH GROUP (to receive the discount)
Accommodations: room you desire and your roommate if appropriate.
Credit card information: (Visa and MasterCard accepted)
Additional Programs: If this program does not interest you, you can pick another program and still get the group rate during that same time period. Click here for the calendar of events.

Additional Information
A 50% deposit on the stay is due at the time of reservation.

As always, reservations are made on a "first come, first served" basis." This means that Kripalu is not holding program or accommodation space for our group members. Since our dates can become full days or weeks ahead of time, it is a good idea to make your reservation as soon as you decided you want to come.

Those from the same group who select dormitory accommodations will be placed in the same women's or men's dorm together. Anyone who snores will be placed into a dorm for women or men who snore. You should expect for there to be other guests sharing the dorms with your group members.

Anyone booking a shared room for two will be paired with someone of the same gender, who snores or not, matching one's own tendencies in this regard. If you would like to share a room for two with a specific person, please supply Reservations with that person's name prior to arrival.

If the group is 5 or more people in size (including the Group Leader), each Group Member receives 10% off room and meals for most programs. Any date where there are less than 5 people staying is offered at regular rates.

Group members can enroll in different programs from one another. Confirmation letters mailed out right after reservations are made will not reflect the group discount, but the balance that is charged to your credit card a few days prior to arrival will. Kripalu's standard cancellation policy applies.
